Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make VisionSource - Evanston the leading provider of vision care products and services in Evanston.

Dr. David R. Russell

Dr. Russell recieved his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wyoming, graduating with honors. He then went on to earn his Doctorate of Optometry from Pacific University College of Optometry. He enjoys all facets of patient care, including Pediatrics, Contact Lenses, Disease Management, LASIK Co-management, and Cataract Surgery Co-management. He is also fluent in Spanish.

He is a member of the American Optometric Association as well as the Wyoming Optometric association. He is also a participating InfantSEE Doctor, performing free eye exams for infants between six and twelve months.

He resides in Evanston with Erin, his wife of 12 years, and their five children. He is a volunteer Cub Scout Leader and teaches an Anatomy & Physiology Class for the Evanston campus of Western Wyoming Community College. In his spare time, he enjoys running, cycling, camping, and back-packing.
